I'm glad I didn't read the reviews here before booking this place, or I'd miss out on what was for us a gem (I guess we got really really lucky)! This building is 91 years old and a bit rough on the edges, but its history shines through. The price/location combo is truly unbeatable. A few minutes walk from my conference venue, tram stations, and the Millennium Park/Art Institute. It was much cheaper than the Airbnb prices for similar rooms in the same building. There was daily house-keeping, everything seemed clean and well-kept (though the room was on the barren side), and we enjoyed the kitchen (full sized fridge, microwave, stove, oven, plates/cups/etc). We had three TV sets in the unit and at least one of them had a Netflix subscription, even. The manager on call (Eric) was very nice, the front desk professional (they take care of the front end of business for the entire building, not just Loop Suites, but they always radio up the manager on call if we have any questions). I stored my luggage on site for $3 per day after I checked out, but later learned that I could've stored it in the Art Institute for $1 per day (pro-tip duly noted). Will stay again!
Loop Suites gave me the really good deal online ever and I must say I was very impressed by the room I got for that price and location. Right in the historic Pittsfield Building near millennium Park and MagMile ! I think Loop Suites is a business that probably leased a few rooms from the Pittsfield hotel so don't expect a lobby that says "Loop Suites" that you find easily. I got confused at first, and had to look around for 15 mins before I found that the gentleman sitting near entrance turned out to be the one who verifies your booking (I paid online) and hands you the keys. Since I didn't check room service , I am not sure how they work. I recommend booking and paying online for Loop suites for a really good deal.
